Alan McLouth has discovered that his online store has expanded his market outside of his local geographic area, and lengthened his seasons. In fact, he knows exactly where his online customers come from: "A key selling point for me is the Store Management Center (SMC), which allows me to keep track of the activity in the online store. And nothing is more fun than to log onto my computer and find e-mailed order notifications. I even get orders while I'm sleeping."
Jim DePreta's retail location gets 500-600 visitors a week, while the online store gets an average of 150 visitors a day. "The online store is a terrific situation for my business," he reports. "I specifically offer fringe items in my Point & Shop store that consumers can't find anywhere else. I get another location with a fraction of the overhead and I can be open twenty-four hours a day without being there."
Ralph Rotten’s Great American Candy Shoppe, located in Lake Ronkonkoma, NY is an old-fashioned candy shop that reminds visitors of tradition and family. Taking his business online was a huge task, and by having PointShop maintain the site content, Shell Styles is free to focus on the shop. “I love our new relationship. You guys are great!”
La Belle Cuisine is a specialty cookware boutique in Pennsylvania. Owner Katherine Elwell has high-end products and was looking for website help when she was to be featured in The Wall Street Journal. “I really like what I see and can't believe I've had to wait so long to have the best.” she compliments.
